The power of perseverance should never be forgotten. I fully believe that perseverance is something one teaches themselves. I don’t think you can just persevere, I think you have to want it more than the next guy.
Watch to see how our nation’s heroes push forward. We all face challenges every day, but do you conquer them like the Wounded Warriors below?

Granted I might be reaching for a Diet Coke or Diet Mountain Dew before persevering over getting out of bed. My bed shouts from the rooftops to skip work and stay in bed. HAHA LOL

Up early in the morning at work to assist a client stationed in Iraq. It was 3:52pm their time.
I’m a firm believer like one of the soldier’s said in the video, “Give 100% and you’ll get 100% back!” In life, you’re only going to get out of it, what you put into it. No one said life would be easy, but it’s worth it if you try. The Army always says that you lead from the front. When you lead from the front, good things will happen. This was a thank you to me from a client. I worked hard, I persevered, I helped them, and I was graciously rewarded. You don’t just let life happen to you, you make life happen.

Any military wife that has ever experienced a husband deploying can tell you that perseverance is a word that we live by. Perseverance is a word that challenges us to rise above the obstacles of day to day life. Rushing to and from work, getting the kids to and from school, church, charities, etc. We become determined to keep and maintain positive attitudes. Surviving a deployment is too easy in the whole scheme of one’s life.

Every sunset alone brings me one day closer to my husband being home.
Someone once said, “Negative people need drama like oxygen. Stay positive, it will take their breath away.” I don’t know who said it, but they are right. Surround yourself with good people and embrace the changes that life brings daily. Your attitude can make or break you and that my loyal readers is your choice. Just like the wounded warrior said, “Regardless of the adversity that comes our way, we can still make it through.” Let’s embrace that attitude. Let’s find a way to defeat any obstacle that comes our way and let’s all persevere in the face of adversity. Together we can conquer any challenge that life throws our way from parenting, disabilities, mental health issues, loss, financial burdens, etc. Together we will persevere and conquer all challenges. I even faced my fears and visited Tijuana. That my friends is a great example of perseverance. :) With every sunset that I spend alone, it brings me one day closer to my husband being home from Afghanistan. I can do this!
