Cheap Wireless Plan for International Calling

Do you remember my post Walmart Family Mobile for International Calling? Finding a cheap wireless plan that allowed me to call and text  internationally was my mission and a mission I refused to fail. Walmart Family Mobile was going to save me a fortune on international calling and I had no idea. International calling was a huge monthly expense in our household, before Walmart Family Mobile came crashing at my doorstep and rescuing me from the evil roaming charges of another carrier who will remain unmentioned and who I no longer use.

Guess who found a cheap wireless plan for international calling earlier last month? I did, I did! That’s who. Calling Mexico and Canada from a cell phone is generally outrageous. If you’ve ever thought about video messaging or texting, you’ve thought better of the idea after the initial bill arrived to your home.I needed a cell phone that could call both places and that would allow me to make and receive calls while visiting both Canada and Mexico, that wasn’t going to break my bank.  That is no small feat, but Walmart Family Mobile was up for the challenge. My brother lives in Canada and my second family lives in Mexico. With that being said, a cheap wireless plan was an essential for me and my family. My son already has the Concord and Walmart Family Mobile unlimited plan which he uses from gymnastics to keep in touch with me and where he is able to contact his family in Canada and Mexico at an extremely affordable rate. Also, with my husband deployed to Afghanistan Walmart Family Mobile makes it easy for my son to can contact his dad as well.

While motivated to find an affordable international calling plan for my cell phone, Walmart Family Mobile exceeded my expectations in every area of wireless cell phone plans. I didn’t expect to find a plan that was under $40 a month. I had no idea that anything like that existed on the market. Not having to pay for data overages is a welcomed change. Having unlimited minutes means not having to set restrictions on when and what time you user your phone. My son uses his Concord at school, and I use the myTouch powered by T-Mobile smartphone. My son can use his smartphone at school to look up important information and the school considers it an approved wireless device. I can use my myTouch to take videos. I can take photos and videos of him at gymnastics and he has something to do while waiting on Jasmine and David to finish gymnastics practice now.

I was able to send the below videos to family in Mexico, Canada, Afghanistan and here in the USA instantly via message so they could see the kids having fun at the gym.

They were also able to see Jasmine land her double back beautifully. Of course, this was after figuring out that there was a dead spot in the floor. HAHA

MyFamilyMobile.com makes online management super easy. You can even set up parental controls on your children’s phones too. We will continue using the Walmart Family Mobile Wireless Plan. Thank you Walmart #FamilyMobileSaves and #cbias because I saved so much money that I did some early Christmas shopping in Tijuana, Mexico on Memorial Day. I was also able to take the children to Disneyland. I’m constantly in touch with family overseas now and we stay in touch via texting, sms messages and calling each other much more regularly. I feel like our family is united again even though we’re separated by thousands of miles. Thank you for happy kids and a happy husband with me not blowing money. WOOHOO
