Annie’s Cafe in Lake Elsinore got a visit from KCAL’s Chris Burrous today. Annie’s Cafe in Lake Elsinore will be featured on a segment of Burrous Bites on July 21st! KCAL Channel 5 WOOHOO!!! I had a busy morning planned. I had an interview all the way out in Mission Viejo and then as soon as I got back, I noticed a phone call that I missed from Mrs. Annie aka Jan.
I called her back and she told me that Chris Burrous from KCAL would be at the restaurant and asked me if I’d stop on by. My son was at Mulligan’s with my friend and her two children and her exchange student for a week from Italy. I had received from tickets from posting about them a while ago, and it was the perfect opportunity for them to visit. I text my friend and let me know I’d be meeting her a little bit later.

I headed to Annie’s Cafe. I love Annie’s, I love the owners. Kevin looks like a young Paul McCartney and Jan looks like a Showgirl, she can still kick well above her head too. It’s the kind of restaurant where everyone knows your name. It’s the kind of restaurant that has everything you can imagine on the menu. If they don’t have it, they can probably make it. They’re the most accommodating restaurant I’ve ever been to. My son is picky and HE loves this place. So, it’s no surprise that Chris Burrous is going to feature Annie’s Cafe in Lake Elsinore on a Burrous Bites segment. Can’t wait for it to air.
Lake Elsinore is not as huge of a town as some of those in Southern California. It’s not Los Angeles, Orange or San Diego, but we have our very own charm and character here. That’s why the British owners fell in love with the place. The bring some of the British faves like bangers and fish and chips to the US, but they also have all of the American faves you can think of too. Best breakfast in the world. Look at my omelet above. She even had Shepherd’s Pie when Jamie Graham came in to sing a week ago.

They make it a fun experience, so I was happy to support our local establishment, where it’s more like Cheers, where everybody knows your name.
