FaVe Mom here, with my Fourth of July salute to the Wounded Warriors, some of our Nation’s finest and bravest heroes. This Fourth of July you too can support the Wounded Warriors, thanks to their corporate sponsor Brawny Towels! We’re celebrating with Brawny, because we always do, but we’re showing you why and how you can and should too. :)

We are celebrating our Nation’s Heroes on the Fourth of July with Brawny and you can too! Thanks PopsicleBlog.com for the yummy recipe!
Every time someone shares a personal note of thanks on Brawny® Towels Facebook page to our Nation’s Heroes, between now and the end of 2013, the Brawny® brand will donate $1 up to $350,00 to support the programs of the Wounded Warrior Project®. Remember they’ve already donated $250,000!!!
The mission of Wounded Warrior Project® is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. WWP’s purpose is to raise awareness and to enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. WWP is a national, nonpartisan organization headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla. To get involved and learn more, visit woundedwarriorproject.org.
I’m here to ask you to do something for someone that can never repay you, but yet it won’t cost you anything more than a few seconds of your day. I know the FaVeMom.com fans out there can totally raise $350,000 for Wounded Warriors with the help of Brawny Towels. Let’s do this.
- “Like” Brawny Towels Wounded Warrior Project on Facebook. (Direct link below. :))
- Write on the Wall of Thanks and let our Nation’s heroes know that you appreciate them. Tell them FaVe Mom sent you!
Being a military wife comes with pride, honor, commitment and loyalty. Unfortunately, it also comes at a great cost. Some people pay the ultimate sacrifice with their lives for us to be able to barbeque, watch fireworks and spend time with our families, friends and loved ones. I won’t be spending this Fourth of July with all of my loved ones. In fact, this Fourth of July will be spent away from my husband.
This Fourth of July I’d like to first salute my wonderful husband who is currently deployed to Afghanistan. Raymond, I love you with all of my heart, I thank you for your service and for your sacrifice for me and every United States Citizen. You are a true hero and I appreciate what you do every day. Your absence is noticed and I wish you were home with us every single day.
I’d then like to salute the Monti and Ross families and the Patrick and Lybert families. Their sons SFC Jared C. Monti and SSG Patrick Lee Lybert paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives for all of us to be able to celebrate the Fourth of July and to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. These men, along with the rest of the men on that mountain that day are our Nation’s heroes. One more salute is to a man my husband served with that I did not know. SFC Isaac Shawn Lawson.
I want this hero salute post to be happy and about us celebrating. Saturday, my friend Lorena’s daughter, Jasmine, celebrated her 12th birthday party. She’s a gymnast, a really good one by the way. So, with the help of CoverMyHeart.com owner April Marcial, we made one pretty cool cake in 8 hours that is Fourth of July themed. Red, white & blue with a gymnast, vault and beam attached. Hey, I even made a springboard. WOOT! WOOT! That’s crafty! Yes, we take orders so if you’re in the Lake Elsinore, CA or Corona, CA area and would like a custom cake. Let us know. :)

However, let’s be honest. Making the above cake, is not for a novice. That’s why I love Jill, over at Popsicle Blog!!! She makes deserts that are not only easy, but taste great, and look AMAZEBALLS TOO! Just like this Fourth of July Dessert. So, after you comment here and tell me who you are thankful for this Fourth of July, click that image and head on over to Popsicle Blog and make this Red, White & Blue Bread Pudding that is totally amazeballs. You can Pin It while you’re at it for others too! :)
